    Dave,

I thought the same thing while uploading the pics and no I am not one of those guys. The wife used to handle all of this kinda stuff and I found that table cloth in the Christmas stuff the old one was spring and it was on till November. I don't even know where to buy a tablecloth I'm assuming Walmart but I do know if she was here I would not be assembling/building stuff at the kitchen table which I have to say is quite convenient to TV and snacks.

Forgot to include the pics of the tag...I made this in Word and its damn near identical in font/size and color including the original date code. Little over the top but it makes it look new....

I have never seen this level of anal-ity. But I must say it impresses the hell out of me.

What did you use to print the label on? Plain old paper or some kind adhesive backed paper? I'd like to try this myself on a couple of labels.

Sorry for late response just getting back to thread - Yes plain Ink-Jet quality paper - Guess you could use adhesive backed as well.

Update - Moved, Shop Built, Car in Shop - Just started back working on car February 1st, which was my goal since all the house etc work is completed.

Never got pics of underneath car since it was put together, I took some before starting to assemble parts. I will post progress/updates as I go..stay tuned.

Terry , Looks great. Are you going to apply the “ blackout “ treatment to the axle & suspension ?

That was the plan but I did not expect it to come out like it did, the pictures really do it no justice, up close it really looks like bare metal and everything is painted as to it's correct color. Who knows maybe back in 69 just as they were getting ready to do the blackout compressor went down, break buzzer went off, union meeting, stranger things have happen right, it could of happen. I have seen axles with little to no paint...

Couple of update on parts being completed...

Finally got around to finishing the hood bezels, they were re-chromed then taped off (fun) and proceeded to take the pits out, high build and lots of sanding with a paint stick wrapped in sandpaper in those little grooves. These came out really nice - put away until hood is completed.

One completed, one still in primer..

Cleaned the bases, removed and buffed the stainless trim on the NOS front marker lamps. Would have installed them but I had the wrong plated nuts for them, waiting for them and I will post some pics installed. Have the correct NOS retainers and NOS gaskets to mount them. Everything gathered up to install.

Restored a set of rear marker lights for the car. I had NOS bases but the "400" and lens from original parts needed some work. The "400" was sanded down smooth and chrome metal applied. Thanks "Daves69" for direction on these. It was long ago but I finally got to them. They came out very nice.

The bases were cleaned, and the stainless polished, lens were polished to remove scratches then assembled/glued. I have NOS retainers for these and like the fronts, waiting the correct plated hardware to install.

Have a set of original rear rubber gaskets in real nice shape, they look good on the finished lens. P.S The additional set you see in the background was made from additional parts and they are already gone.

The picture below was a reproduction dashpot I was using on the car, believe it came from Cars because I could not locate a correct 4 speed dashpot, nice used or NOS so I used this one. As you can see it's not really functional just for show because it can not be adjusted enough to work correctly. I polished the metal and painted the spring correctly.
    Picture 030.jpg

Just this past week after looking for a long long time I found a NOS correct 4 speed dashpot assembly 1385042. I attached a picture of the comparison of the two, the NOS is on the right with the gray rubber spring seat. Note the spring was already red as it should have been for a 4 speed dashpot 1385042.
    Picture 005.jpg Picture 007.jpg

Installed on the car with adequate adjustment for it to function correctly.

    More updates to follow soon....
