is there one that will fit the stock 72 skylark column? Need a little more room to get into the race car easier. Also, does it need to be welded on to meet nhra rules? Thanks, brad.

Only ones I've seen weld on, it technically wouldn't be that difficult to make one that did bolt on over the existing stem tho

Nrg innovations has a hub that looks like it would work just wondered if anyone was using a quick release with a stock column.

Hay Brad, maybe less beer, would help???. Are you going to Kearney on Sat the 13th of April, to race with the Buick boys?

Ice cream is my weakness! Plan on Kearney. Cars ready. First time in 10 years I’ve had a car ready for spring

I think the quick release wheel is a good idea, if you are losing you can chuck it out the window 1/2 track to make the car weigh less

A friend of mine did one using a sport wheel. I don’t think I have any pictures of it,and I know he sold it. I’ll see if I can find any pictures.

Grant makes one. I got it for the same reason. Check the Summit catalog. Part # GRT-2001 It states that it only works with a Grant wheel, but that's what I had anyway. IMG_0001 (2).JPG

you can find a donor rack and pinion and put that in your car.

id imagine any car with a rack and pinion will work, just got to custom fab mounting and adjust the steering shaft length.

A rack and pinion won't make it easier to get in and out of the car.
