What are the differences between the 70, 71, and 72 front bumpers on a GS?
Aside from the impact strips on a 72.

    70 is all by itself.

Technically, you can bolt any of the bumpers onto any 70-72 Skylark/GS, but the grills, hood lip moldings, and headlight bezels are different, and work together. Brackets are different also.

1970 if you note is totally different. marker lights are larger and no holes in the bumper below the grill. It is a one year only item and will NOT work with other years.

1971 and 1972 are nearly identical the only difference is the rubber strip on the 72.

...because '70 grille is "taller," extending below top horizontal line of bumper. Unlike '71, '72 bumper has a flat surface across bumper face for rubber strip.
Edit: others were faster typing responses...:)

The GTOs got much uglier with each year after '69. The Buick A-bodies were still presentable.
