The red item you have above looks like a factory sender for a gauge and not a low oil pressure light. The mechanical gauge is better than a factory gauge but if you have a gauge from the factory normally you don't also have an idiot light.
John, The engine is in rubber mounts. The frame twists & bends. The body is separate from all of this & moves around on it's own. Before it goes into the firewall do about 3 twists in the copper line so it can flex. If you look at the brake lines coming off the master you'll see what I'm talking about. To help keep engine noise out of the interior slip some rubber tubing over the line. This will dampen any noises being transmitted inside. Usually I use w/s/wiper hose. Spray the line & inside of the hose with silicone or other lube so the hose will slide over the line. I know it's kinda overkill, but that's the way I like to do it. Tom T.
Tom. Regarding "overkill". If a "little" is good, and "more" is better, then "too much" is about right.
Why do these damn compression fittings not want to hold the pipe in place? It keeps slipping out when trying to bend the rest to shape. How is this supposed to be done? Course I haven’t tightened everything down yet, but what gives?

FWIW I like using these for oil & fuel... http://www.dieselmanor.com/dm_products/DM-CGI2240.htm Mount on firewall. Just use antifreeze or light oil on the gauge side of iso,, you can run a bigger in dia oil line to the iso.
Great news, 22 psi hot idle at 800rpm with 10w-30 valvoline vr1 Also might have popped a tranny line and left a mile long smokescreen back home! Fixed tranny line, hose clamp had slipped off a little
Is this normal news to most? Maybe I’m overly excited about better psi than most builds I’ve recently heard about.
This time of year your OP is alleyways higher. its not really at operation temp. If I went out and run my motor now ( temp here is 13- 33 this week ) ( not the normal ). I guaranty my motors will be 3-6 PSI higher.. Boat motor excluded...
What do you think the wind chill is on the oil pan... The heat is sucked out of your motor at a faster rate in comparison to 80+ degrees.. Thats why trucks run a winter curtain on the front. Its not to get the coolant hot..
It was 30 psi and then kept dropping the longer I sat at the light, so that totally makes sense. I suppose I have to wait til at least March
