looking to up grade trans mount on my 72 buick gs 455, with turbo 400 trans,
this my first buick powered car, the trans mount should be the same as chevelle?
when i try to confirm fit on the parts site it indicates no fit? not concerned amount the slight vibration it may cause.
Energy Suspension Transmission Mount Part # 3.1108G
its the same one i used on my wifes 72 chevelle.

yes should be same as th400 used in most cars that take 2 bolts. some factory mount on big cars were single bolt. but i think the mount you referenced has 3 in it any ways

It will bolt in and function as it should,..but be careful of using polyurethane trans mounts with a strong engine, and stock mounts with no restraint,.. you will break the bellhousing
    Fab up a torque strap

Has anyone ripped or broke a urethane trans mount? I use them on pretty much everything, but when I pulled my trans out of my 72,I noticed it was cracked. It was 15-20 years old,and I wasn’t nice to it.

They way they are made its pretty much impossible to separate it, in lies the issue from my experience the engine moves more than the trans and something has to give

The engine had solid mounts. I split a case in that same car with that same mount, same solid engine mounts. I reused the trans mount when I redid the transmission, and it is still fine. In one way,I am surprised that the mount is cracked, and in another way,I’m not surprised at all. Never broke a tailhousing in it.
