We are holding off shipping the dragster and trailer until later this week or possibly next Monday...waiting this storm out hoping for better weather.
Storm was a bust. Just 8 inches of snow where I live. After snow it started to rain when it was 15 degrees. I have a good weather station so I know temps exactly. Never seen that before. Very odd. Just 1 degree here this morning. It sucks.
For Wednesday we are looking for a high of 60 with a low of 58 degrees. That is very odd but I will take it.
We had freezing rain in waves yesterday at 7 degrees. Lots of wind. Ended up with about 16-18"of snow and ice. Using the big snowblower on the tractor was like sand blasting with an 8" nozzle. Stripped a small cedar bare before I saw it. Stay warm everyone.
Larry flew into JFK yesterday, had a good dinner, and stayed inside. The only thing on the streets is the massive amounts of salt they spread. The streets are white with it. Guess the GS will not see the road until we get a big warm rain storm to wash it away. Gonna put the GS up on ramps and jack stands and swap in JW's 9.5" converter.
Had 5 inches by Sat. nite and while plowing drive out it started to rain and it was about 20 out. It did not last long about 1 hr then started to snow again, had 10 inches by Sunday morning. Then Sunday nite got 4 more inches of lake affect snow. 13* out now NE Ohio
11 degrees this am just east of sunny Philadelphia. My Miniature Pinscher went out, peed and made a quick u-turn for the warm indoors. Both of my dogs do not want to go out in the yard unless it is very urgent.
Storm seemed to be a bust in Long Island as well, 8 degrees yesterday with very little snow/ice. New plan is to load-in the car and trailer either tomorrow evening or Thursday and head West...will hopefully see it here by late Saturday-early Sunday. Time to make some room!
Larry-- hold off on deflating Mr Croc. A big dip in the jet stream is coming at the end of next week. If moisture is added you may get to ride him at that time.
So warm here yesterday that the wife suggested I get busy cutting the grass that I'd been ignoring since before thanksgiving. (Leaves)
Snowed several inches overnight. 34 degrees and rain this morning. I cleared the driveways before temps drop and it gets messy.
Larry— get out the air pump for Mr. Croc. You may get a 2 - 4 inch sneaker snow Tuesday morning. This will just be worth a test run so you can adjust the stirrups.
