I quit going to the "local" shows for this reason. They don't know squat about our cars or appreciate them. So I don't bother.

Same reason I quit doing car shows, I agree with you Mike.

I like James' idea, Polyglas make a huge difference.

I don't do car shows, I do cruise-ins. I can get there when I want to, park where I want to and leave when I want to...

I couldn't resist getting the car out on a nice Christmas Eve day.

    Nice!

I'll be terrorizing this area Wednesday, when it's nice and sunny. :D

My car came with code "BX" on the air cleaner decal and Dave (copperheadgs1) pointed out the correct code is "BC". Thanks also to Jason for offering a safe removal method. Task completed.

Got a break from the rain today so I got the car out for a wash and cruise. Here's a couple shots in the driveway.

So it turns out this car was originally owned by a 19 year old female. I was able to contact her and she said her father bought it in his name because the bank would not approve the loan for her. And in her words, "the dealer wouldn't order me a Chevelle so I bought something equally inappropriate". I got a laugh out of that. She owned the car from 1971 to 1998 and forwarded the pictures below.

    Soon after purchase:
