Working on a fuel issue

    The type of pump is irrelevant. The reason a fuel pump arm contacts a double roller chain has to do with the bigger dimensions of a double roller chain. The simple solution is to use a rat tail file to elongate the fuel pump mounting holes, and then move the pump 1/16" forward. I believe TA Performance has modified the fuel pump mounting on the TA Covers to accomplish the same thing. In any case, this is a non issue as long as you are aware of it.

    Check your rubber sections of fuel line, if they're original, the inner wall could be collapsing closed when the pump really starts sucking fuel.

    Thanks Larry, I have the TA cover just paranoid as I had this problem with my last build.

    You should check for it regardless. Not sure when Mike T incorporated that change to the covers.
