I bought a set of kelsey hayes wires for the 1953 Skylark...so i think. How do I know if they are legit or not? Stamp says Kelsey hayes USA, 15x6 L...a logo on there. I have the knock off centers as well. All appear to be original. I just want to make sure they are legit so I know to put them on my car or not! Its not a 53 Skylark! Just want to know how I can tell and what year they might be. Thanks a lot for any help!

    John,
They may very well be original Buick wires , but not 53.
    53 Skylark wire wheels are 15 x 6 1/2 width , also the spinners
would say SKYLARK in the silver center. They do have the guide
pin hole and I don't think repops have those.
    Anyway, the look nice !!!!

They are authentic Kelsey Hayes for 1954 Buick and later

1953 Buick Kelsey Hayes wire wheels do not have the guide pin holes.
Only the five wheel bolt holes would be on 1953 Skylark wire wheels

    I agree with Bill.
Those centers caps look like '54 and later Buick as well (no "Skylark" on them)

They are 54! Got them in and they are 15x6L and 54 stamped under that. They are in really good shape! I don't know if they have already been restored or not; they look great for survivors if not. Have to see if the spokes are stainless or not as well but there is no rust on the spokes at all or the collars for them.

    Nice.
Dad had a set years ago.
They needed restoring , and he decided to sell them rather than spend $ on restoration, to put them on the car.

I would say they are the real deal. As far as the guide hole on '53 wheels , I've been wrong before.
