This is very very good news! I have no doubt that the work experience you gained in your other jobs will help your success with TA. Keep up the great work and bring on the 350 heads!
Congratulations Mike, 35 years is a huge milestone! Looking forward to another open house and bbq this winter, see you in the valley of the sun. Gord
Congrats Jr. VP 35 years and going strong. I remember buying my first set of KB headers from your Dad (still running them) when he was still working out of the garage on Greenway!
This is a great opportunity to step up your Buick race program ! In both big power potential and reliability! If you've ever had the urge to go to the alum block don't miss this deal. back in 2012 when we started working on NBF again we were going to put an iron block in it but instead put the Tomahawk in and never looked back. We had the Ford main std cam version and took the rotating assembly out of the skyhawk turned the main down to 3 " and put that in the car with about 11;1 compression. Mitch learned to drive the car with that combo which was virtually trouble free. fast forward to 2015 after raising the compression and some additional port/intake work from Chris we had the car running regularly into the 8's at 151 mph problem free. in all the time i ran the hawk i never had a block girdled plated filled or whatever last more than 2 seasons and i don't have any urge to build another one like that. I've Known Mike for a long time and we've talked about this block for just about as long . In BG in 2015 I thanked Mike for making the block happen because i know it took a large personnel commitment to get it off the ground in the first place. I am also convinced that the block allowed Mitch and I to enjoy racing NBF over the last few years with confidence . As a matter of fact the same block/crank combo is getting updated again chasing that elusive N/A 4 digit power level and the block is not our concern. Dave
so if i bought the standard block all other standard parts would work crank heads intake etc..... other than the aforementioned oil pan and pick up tube just how much power is capable to be made without going nuts of course scott
Congratulation's and thank you for 35 years of Buick performance parts.Waiting for the ported Stage 1's for my wife's convertible now(In shipping). Will be placing order for block to accommodate my Stage 3's I already have in a week or 2.
How's the race head project coming?? I'm sure you guys are concentrating on the 350 heads rite now but just curious?
Hey Michael, I don't suppose you're working on the website? I'd like the option of placing online orders. Just the other day I needed to order a oil pickup tube gasket...had to wait until the next day to make the phone call to have it sent to me. Tim does a great job on the phone and is always a pleasure to talk to...just saying it might be more convenient to your customers to have this option. Thanks
We will place an order at the end of the year and it would be at least 6-8 weeks until we would receive the blocks. Turn around time on a set of heads is a few days. Correct. Oil pan and pickup tube are different, everything else will bolt up.
Congratulations and best wishes for continued success! I second the single 4 dual plane nailhead aluminum intake request.
