Did I read somewhere that the 72 gsx’s were made in Canada? Only 44 produced correct?

Not that I know of...this was an export to Canada, but I’m pretty sure it was built in Flint. I’m not at the car to check the plant...

    44 built, yes.

One of only 44 and it’s a red Stage 1. A very special car for sure.

Base is on, and first coat of clear before I ran out. Morning run to the supply store for more clear and two more coats in the morning will finish up the paint. These little parts are ready, though. I will paint the black headlight surrounds later.

    I could be mistaken, but I thought there were a couple '72's made @ a different plant(s).

GM Daily car reports show 44, all from the Flint plant.

Ryans-GSX Have fun, life is short.

No less than that. I know at least one other member that has a 72 GSX on this board and there are at least 7 in the GSX registry. http://www.buickgsx.com

Okay -- so why did they all go to Canadia?
Insurance? GM policy? Speed merchant dealership? Or Classy Canucks as noted previously?

    It is looking great.

"Okay -- so why did they all go to Canada?"
I don't think they all went to Canada but I can check on that.

If memory serves me correct, there was nothing in the factory literature showing "How to order a 72 GSX", therefore the only people, as in salesmen that knew how to order a 71 GSX, or someone that was really determined to get one, could do it for 72. That is probably why the number sold was only 44 cars.
