I think theres a calendar due out with a lot of those pics. Kinda haunting even seeing the million dollar homes burned to the ground... On a sick sense of humor note, its really easy to see how much bondo was on the bottom front fender on that 1962 Impala SS. Sure hope THAT ONE wasnt a 409 car! ws
A handful of those can be brought back. I was involved in a minor way in bringing back a Clark forklift that was burned worse then that '28 Chevy. It will be time consuming, but it is possible.
digital camera and or filter , maybe some additional computer work following ? I've done that accidentally with my little sony sorta . kind of an eerie xmas card effect . have seen similar with some real estate listing pics - those were real unnatural looking . I like the pics . of course i'm not a car owner or insurance company . the 62 and the ford pickup just burnt on the front half is kinda weird . seems funny the heat stopped short . maybe the back halves were protected ?
I was a fireman for 7 years. You see some really weird stuff only a professional fire investigator can explain. Even then it doesn't make sense a lot of the time hahaha. One cool one was there was a house fire located in a pastor's house in a bedroom, later turned out to be arson. He'd done it 3 times before. We didn't catch it till it was too late, because who would think about an arsonist pastor? Anyway, the fire stayed locally in that bedroom, it was so black in that house you could only feel your way. (In case anybody is wondering, inside a real house in a real fire isnt like in the movies. Its pitch black. Close your eyes at midnight black. You only feel your way on your hands and knees through a house. You either go right or left, and the head guy touches the wall, always staying touching that wall on his left or right, even through doorways. You don't see flames till you're only a few feet away.) Anyway again, haha, we got called out because it started to backdraft, the windows started shaking, and the chief called us out. After we got it out from the outside of the house, in the kitchen everything was totally mint other than some smoke damage obviously, but it was still like a normal kitchen. But the ceiling fan blades were melted, bent over, stretched, and touching the ground below. They flowed out onto the linoleum in 4 perfect matching little white plastic pools. It was super eerie looking. Wish I would've had a camera......
I was in a house after it had burned and the thing that stuck with me is was the books. Everything was singed, covered in soot and ruined except books on a shelf. They were singed on the cover but all the pages were readable. Patrick
