Ive got a set of 67 buckets I'm about ready to start re doing wheres the best place to buy Legendary covers ? Foam? All the trim pieces? What have you used to paint frames? Metal backs and sides? ( I was told sem has a black for these, Opinions?) Thanks
Rick at Wellington Classics gave me great deals on my Legendary interior. He is nice to deal with and customer focused to boot. I would not hesitate to buy from him again. I can't recall the name of the foam bun company, but I think it is ACM? I think Legendary may sell them on their website.
Roy, I restored a split bench seat with headrests for my 67. frame up. I used Legendary for my foam & seat materials. More expensive than some of the others out there but the quality was second to none.
Roy, Aren't these going in a Chevelle? Might be a different list of quality suppliers for those versus Buicks......
yep I did legendary in the Buick several years back and was happy, they seem to be the best . Just looking for input on good suppliers as seems like most carry the A body line for all the GM.
I too have used Rick at wellington classics. He's great to deal with and can get you everything mentioned. ACI buns are the way to go. If you're going with the chevelle pattern then you migh not want the 67-70 mixed. That setup works for 67 skylark/gs400 pattern because the upper foam doesn't have the indent for the side bolsters the chevelle has. Double check with Rick when you give him a call.

Dave What did you do to your seat frames? Mine are real good But I see 3 options Leave as is with a little cleaning up Bead blast to remove minor rust and leave bare metal as factory Or Bead blast and paint to protect
i used legendary on my 65 .they do have REAL sales around thanksgiving 20% i had about 1000 in everything from canvas to muslin to foam and hogrings front and back turned out amazing
So just to update for those doing this I did use Rick at Wellington, defiantly a good guy to deal with . Seats are now completely bead blasted,painted waiting for one set of bottom springs and legendary covers to show up. ACI foams are here I did use sem trim paint on metal back and sides and it looks flawless.
Looks great, Roy! Sorry I didn't respond to your previous question, I didn't see it. You're definitely going about it the right way. I left my frames alone (both Skylark and GS), but did blast the tins on the skylark and painted with the SEM. They have held up well (sprayed them a few years back). The GS tins are original and in decent shape for their age, so we decided to leave them.
Im really happy with the way they turned out, they were one of the nicest set of orig 67 seats Id ever found and after bead blasting they looked as clean as factory. But the anal part of my brain told me bare metal rusts . So even though you will never see them under the covers I had to paint to ease my mind. By the way that latch spring I was asking about well nobody makes it so I went to hardware store found one right size and length of legs on it and spent a hour putting the right bends I needed and for $2 works great
