    Understand. Isn't the MSD 6AL rev limiter user adjustable? I thought it was but could be wrong.

    ... it is adjustable. The plastic dial (tiny flat head screw driver supplied with the MSD-6AL-2 box. The 1000-increment dial, is deformed ... and is stuck @ 4400-rpm Rev-Limit.

    Good morning, ALL.
    This is the 1st time I drove my Buick on a highway against another vehicle;

    Since the new Jim Weise 3000-3200 stall torque converter ... my Buick runs HARD. The new Max Air Carbs Holley-950 works GREAT as well.

    Good morning.

    I really appreciate your comment ... I got very concerned, and did a little research; and found this so far ... :eek:

    I'm going to call my Tranny-Builder.

    This is my converter. I'm going to call Jim Weise and ask for the Input Shaft's length ... and if he feels it's too far out. Thanks again.

    My TH400 builder said it's OK, and I shouldn't worry. The Input Shaft on this 9.5-inch Converter is long.
    It's been the same way for a year.

    Thanks VERY much again.

    You should be using the washers that Jim supplied. It has nothing to do with the input shaft length. It has to do with the engagement of the pump tabs in the converter snout notches. With the converter pushed all the way into the transmission, there should be 3/16" - 1/4" of clearance. You want to pull the converter forward about 1/8" to mate to the flexplate. That's where the washers come in. You don't need your transmission builder, just unbolt the converter and push it back. You will probably need both washers on each bolt, but you can measure and confirm. If the converter is pulled too far forward, you can damage the pump tangs and or the converter snout because they don't engage fully/properly.

    It may have been just the angle in that one shot, but they looked like an awful lot it converter hub showing

    ... I was "dying" for a reply from you. I don't remember receiving any washers ... just the Converter.

    I'll contact Mr. Weise again, and ask for more Washers. He did mention them in a reply earlier.

    Thanks VERY much for confirmation. I hope to see you soon.

    Have a great week ahead. :D:D:D
