69 front brake conversation

    Just cut the bosses off the spindle and put brakes on. You'll just need a machine shop.

    I am completely lost at what you have said.... spindle boss ??? What year Car do I used for the parts I need ??

    On the spindle is a square area that the drum backing plate attaches to. This is machined off to allow stock parts to be attached. Black 70 Buick aka Chad, might be a better resource for how to go about it. Provided the wheel pattern is the same for 70, I think he converted. The spindle dimensions where the bearings sit are the crucial areas to match up. In my a body, I used factory parts after machine work was done. Somewhere in here I had pictures, but it's been 9 years.....m

    On my 69 I just brought the stock kit just a little over $300 , all boll on I got the proportion valve separately, they also offered drilled and slotted for a few bucks more
