1969 Buick Electra fuel sending unit

Does anyone know of a modern part number that will replace the canister style fuel sending unit? I've tried all the parts stores today and none of them can come up with anything. I don't have time to send mine in for a rebuild. Thanks for the help if anyone can.

 

Look on eBay there are new repros listed for 67-70 full size Buicks. I've bought and installed them on my cars. They work good-although it is a float arm design rather than a canister unit, so the gas gauge fluctuates a lot more than with the canister type.

 

Maybe a 2114NR part number from year one? Says its for 71-72 skylark.

Did you try to install the skylark sending unit in an Electra tank?

 

I got mine for my year and model from carparts.com . think summit had them to but only searched for my car . pretty easy to search for

the one I got may fit a skylark along with other models . as I have an electra I was only buying it for my car which has an original fuel tank .

 

So you did not buy a unit for a Skylark and then install it in a Electra tank.
