66electrafied Just tossing in my nickel's worth

It would sure depend how rotten things are, if that thing has been lying around with the roof in that condition running or not it's spent however many years as a swimming pool for ducks, so it can't be good. 1965 had a lot of unique interior parts on it, good luck trying to find some of them.

BERWYN ??? Being an OK. vehicle, rust probably is not as much an issue as it is up this way. For $1600 (maybe even a grand!) you can do what you want to do to it and make it a fun summertime blaster. Grab the pedal stuff out of an old Pontiac Catalina or what ever and put a 4 speed in it!

Marcs right about the inside being wasted, but Ogden Top and Trim can do it right! Theres also Jack Reiter in LaGrange by the tracks. Tell him I sent you!

I kinda like it, but a project like thats not for the feignt of heart! I just wouldnt get upside down in a full blown restoration on it! ws

around 1977. His name was Frank Nesladek he had passed before I worked there. His daughter Carol took over the business and is still running it with John Mayer. They do show winning work you'll often see cars competing for "the Ridler "award with their interiors. There are times I wished I stayed there because I like to build and create things. Then again I would never of had the career I have now and the money I make is certainly much better. I actually moved back to "BERWYN" after 30yrs even though I thought I never would. Still quiet and neighborly and re-surging. I'm near "Proksa Park". Just look for a big red garage with a copula on top.

I am surprised the name drop above doesnt ring a bell for you. John "Jack" Reiter and I were friends from high school . LTHS in LaGrange. His rather large family was from Countryside by 66 and Willow Springs Road. He went to work for a trim shop in Addison for Jack Lilly. By about 1974 he was OT&T until about 1978-9 when I got him a job with me at ComEd. He was riding a Harley panhead back then and had a 1975(?) blue Gremlin X. I retired in 2005 and lost track. He had a lot of talent on a sewing machine and did a lot of show car stuff back then.
You mentioned Frank and I had forgotten his name, but I thought Carol was his daughter. The last time I was over there was about 1980 for a headliner job"If I recall" LOL.
Just a small world I recon! Bill in Two Rivers, Wi. Oh, and your name please??

I do know Jack. Biker with the boots, wallet chain and a mustache he was always doing harley seats inlaid with velour. He was a cool guy and talented. I was young when I worked there. He did take another job while I was there. I think he corrupted me at the local bar with the introduction to a liquid lunch. lol. Carol is Franks daughter. My name is Paul Schulz I'm 56yrs old. I grew up in Berwyn and moved back here about 3yrs ago. I was downtown Chicago for 20yrs and traveled for work. Needed more room for toys and a shop. I'm glad I did. I'm 20min away from the city and Rahm. It is a small world.
