Well, after finally getting my myaloid leukemia under control and getting back to work, now I have to go under the knife.

After giving a heroine addict 4 doses of narcan to finally bring him back from the dead, I tore my tendon that holds my back muscles onto my shoulder while wrestling this moron when he popped back up to conciousness.

So surgery is scheduled for Dec. 20th, with 6-7 weeks sitting on my butt and then another 4 months of rehab. Ughhh.

    Good Luck!
I just had a tendon reattached on my elbow. The nerve block they did on my neck was more painful than the operation its self. :(

LEO, EMS, FF and those like, are not paid enough, not respected for the service to their fellowman.

So, let me take a minute to say "Thank you!" to all, and to Phillip. I wish you a full and rapid recovery.

Be happy and greatful in all your struggles because Jesus who has came before suffered more and loves you and knows what you are going through. The devil wants you to be down but victory is in the struggle, because It brings you closer to GOD.

    Isaiah 41.10

So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
    Isaiah 41:10

    I'm praying for you.

Sorry Phil, that truly sucks buddy. Bad enough getting hurt but getting hurt by someone making the choice to ruin their own life and screwing you up too in the process trying to save them from themselves?

God bless you for being there regardless of who or why and I pray you have a full and speedy recovery.

I was thinking along this line after I posted.

Those who are "called" so to speak, think not of the "man" (or woman), whom they run towards danger to "save", it is the nature of that person to do it and if there ever is a "test of character" in life, that is it. A "pop quiz", and the OP passed.

The surgery was on the 20th. It went well I guess since my arm is still attached.

Pain was more than I expected for the first week. But it's getting better now. (does pain get better????)

Therapy starts next week. I was told get ready because that's when the real pain starts.

With the therapy, the pain should subside and your movement should improve, hopefully to good as new!

This is what I know. Be wary of the doctors & therapists setting your goals. When my son was run over in 2010, after all the surgeries and the time in ICU he began therapy. He was told by the doctors and therapists to forget baseball and they would be ecstatic if he could tie his shoes and feed himself. He said "I will pitch in baseball again"! They said "forget it, don't set yourself up for that heartache". 18 months later he had a four year scholarship for baseball, he was signed by the Dodgers in 2016 throwing 96 mph and is in their minor leagues.

He put himself through hell to recover what "they" said he never would. He never quit and worked through the pain. God honored his faithfulness.

YOU SET YOUR GOALS AND YOU DO WHATEVER IT TAKES TO GET THEM!
