    Dear V-8 Buick "long-roof" fans,

Hagerty is out with an article on which wagons to buy, which to sell, and which to hold on to:

It isn't a classic muscle car Buick wagon that they recommend that you buy, but nonetheless they do recommend buying a very particular Buick wagon: the 1991-96 Buick Roadmaster!

While not the typical car found on this board, I'm sure there are lots of admirers of this car and even a few owners. Perhaps this will encourage a few more of you to become owners!

    Cheers, Edouard :)

Love these wagons. The last beautiful Buick, in my opinion. Sadly never see them down here. But I am happily compensated by my GM-Holden long wheelbase SS wagon from 2003, with factory LS1 V8

Interesting. When they were new I thought they were pretty ugly. Same for it's sister the caprice wagon. I've grown a little more fond of them over the years. There is something classic about the lines that I can't put my finger on. I have a friend who is a body guy that built this one. It kind of helped me along in my current love of wagons. This may be one of the nicest Roadmaster wagons I've ever seen ;)

I bet mine would look pretty good in those colors too!

I also ran across this. Seems like a hell of a deal for one of these in that condition. All leather too! If any PNW folks are looking for one, I'd go scoop this up and throw a fuel pump in it.

Dear Chass and V-8 Buick longroof fans,

;) . . . . I dunno' but I think you just aren't getting into the real spirit of a classic wagon. Okay your wagon is much closer to the mark, but your buddy's Roadmaster has just as serious a problem in the background as the foreground. Now if you want a classic wagon you need to have it pull a classic RV. Something like this!

;) . . . Of course there are those folks who would insist that this would be "goin' about it da' hard way!" . . . . [IMG]

Ya, he is into his toys. And there is not way you are fitting a bunch of quads and a side by side in the airstream ;) Different purposes entirely!

Boy, would I like to be able to afford to have one of my paint guys paint my car like that. It's about a $30,000 paint job give or take. Sometimes more if there is ANY body work involved.

I'm thinking about going to pick up that roadmaster in the link I posted. I don't think I could lose at that price. Fuel pump is easy if that's what it is.
