Going thru the front end on a father son project 72 GS. Any recommendation to where to buy a complete kit will all bushings, etc. This will just be a normal driver car.

    Thanks!

IMO you are better getting all Moog stuff, the proforged stuff Summit sells is supposed to be pretty nice, ID stay away from the PST stuff, I wasn't impressed

Stay away from the poly urethane or poly graphite stuff. I ended up using stock Moog replacement after being disappointed by the poly stuff.

I am using UMI Performance all the way around on my '64 'lark.
It is still in ICU, so other than the fit and finish, and installation, I cannot speak more.
The workmanship, pre/post-sales, packaging, shipping were all outstanding.

So far, I am very happy with the purchase.

I love the PST stuff. I use it as much as I can. I like something better than OEM rubber.

I purchased all McQuay - Norris parts and am NOT happy with them. My ball joint boots were in shreds within a few months.

I had the same problem with ball joint boots with NAPA ball joints. Were supposed to be USA made, not sure.

I wouldn't buy a total front end kit. the original GM parts on your car are far superior to the Chinese junk in those kits. I'd shake the front end down and see what needs replacing. throwing away everything because you need one tie rod end is a great way to waste money.

X2! I bought McQ-N front end parts for my Skylark, and about 24 months later, I took the car to a shop I trust (I was working mass quantities of overtime- it was cheaper for them to do the work) for brakes, and the upper control arm bushings were toast. I don't know what they put in, but it was over ten years before I had to replace them. That's still too short a lifetime to me, but not that unreasonable.

I second this recommendation. I used all Moog parts last year in my steering and front suspension rebuild. Great quality parts by a company that specializes in steering and suspension. Good prices through RockAuto.

I want to third that on the Moog parts. I rebuilt everything on my front suspension and used all Moog parts and all boxes said made in the USA aaaand they all fit like they are supposed to. I'm looking at you manufactures that put the zerk fitting under the inner tie rod ball joint instead of the side and still say it fits a 1970 Skylark!
