Thank you! I bought this at least 15 years ago, so no S&W on it. I love it for summer carry. Super accurate too.

And we have registration in NY so all my guns are listed on the back of my license with the serial numbers. NY had to issue me a second card because the first one got filled up:Dou::grin:

Where I live, buying a gun is called the "Yaphank shuffle". When you purchase a handgun in NY, you cannot leave the store with it. You just get a receipt. You take that receipt to the pistol licensing bureau (PLB) at Police headquarters in Yaphank, NY (about 10 miles away from my house) and get a purchase order which cost $5.00. But you cant give them cash, only a personal check. Then you take the purchase order back to the gun store and complete the sale. But your not done yet! Now you have 20 days to return to the PLB with the gun so they can add it to your license. Now you done.

I get a kick out of explaining all this to non NY residents and watching their eyes glaze over

Yeah, that's an oldie! Judging by the serial number, I'd say around 1993 or so. Love it

I carry a sig p938 and I have a couple small pocket 22s. I laugh when these guys feel the need to carry big caliber guns. If you know how to shoot and know your gun a 22 will put someone down. Know your gun!!! Jmo

In 89 I got pulled over on a traffic stop and was found to have a small quantity of weed and a bit of powder. after the conviction I lost my civil rights. Have applied 4 times, been through 3 interviews and 1 hearing before the Gov and his cabinet. I can legally carry a cell phone. However they did restore my right to vote for them and do jury duty! Last application for full restoration was 2008. Still in the que for investigation and depending on outcome another hearing.

I have one of the above on me or within reach at all times. The 19 does double duty as a nightstand gun with a rail flashlight. JIM/Rott

My EDC is a Beretta M9A1 Compact Inox, 9mm. It's not light, and it's not really compact, but mechanically it's identical to my full size Beretta Brigadier Inox with which I have spent a LOT of time.

Thus, my decision to carry the slightly smaller Beretta rather than learn a different pistol. I'm also more fortunate than some in that the Michigan CPL (Concealed Pistol License) enjoys a lot of reciprocity with many US States. Visiting family in FL for instance, it's a go for every state I travel there and back.

For other travel, I just have to check the laws before I plan a trip.

Are you saying without the license you could not legally take your gun to the range???

For my every day carry I have a micro - it's a Kel-Tec P32 - it has a built on belt clip. It weighs next to nothing and can be carried concealed in almost anything I wear. I have a Glock 26 if I want to take something with a little more bite.
