Thanks Tony. All I can say is get all the facts you can from Dr. and follow your heart. I personally do not like to see them suffer if there's a chance they won't have any quality of life. Be up front, talk to them beforehand to see what there wishes are and then get a directive made for when the time comes. It will take the burden off of the family making difficult decisions.
Thank you Tom. It has been very hard to watch since the Thursday before Easter. My Birthday was the 25th. Needlessly to say not much celebrating happened. On top of that I am run down and sicker than Hxxx. As my Dad would say "I feel like I got run over by a Mac Truck"
Dean, So sorry for your loss, its very hard to lose a parent, rejoice that she is in God's Kingdom for everlasting peace. gary
Chris, it is ok. Today is going to be a mental break day for me. I am going to the Toppers car show in Fargo, ND. Just to get away for a day. The radiator/fan combo I found it at the bottom of the page on eBay like an advertisement. Went to eBay motor, Buick GSM, scroll down to bottom of page. Don't remember manufacturer, but is a 2 row, 1" pipe, and not sure of cam of fans. Looks to be a good fit, but have not tried it in GS 455. Have a Great Day.
Gary thank you for the kind works. The over all scheme of things is she is not in pain. Hope one of the visions she saw is true: she saw herself and my Dad holding hands and skipping! That brings a smile to my face. You also have a Great Day!
sorry for your loss what always helped me get by when my dad passed was to go out in the shop and work on my stuff it just took my mind off of dad but everybody is different
Thanks pacekar and short_crank. Sorry about mis-spellings and such, been under a little stress. I did go to a car show yesterday in Fargo, ND. It was good, but only 2 Buicks in the show. I enjoyed myself but should have stayed home to take care of this nasty cold I have. All in all I wouldn't change a thing though. Everyone have a good day!
Chris, the radiator comes from www.EntropyRad.com. I got the 2 row 1" pipe with 2 fans and wiring harness. About $600 to $650 if I remember right.
I also believe there is more to it than just death. When my mom passed, the nursing home called to tell me she was failing,it was just before entering the sanctuary for Sunday service, unfortunately I didn't arrive in time, she died minutes before. But she somehow had a nice smile on her face. Then I realized she died on the same date as my dad, and within an hour of his death 42 years earlier. I believe he said "its time, honey, lets go" and escorted her home. I visited her every day, I'm so glad I saw and talked to her the night before. Be glad and thankful for the life she gave you, and the life you shared with her. gary
Thanks again Gary. I to believe there is more than just death. Mom also say other vision, but the one I quoted will stay with me for ever. Talked to my cousin the other day, she remembered my mother pulling up to a police man and revving the motor like she was going to race. My Mom would also squeal the tires quite regularly for them. Looks like I messed this up, shouldn't be in your quot.
Been a busy summer and don't see any reprieve until winter. Reaend is finished. Has been taken apart, sand blasted, powder coated, and installed in frame. motor is finished, just waiting for a run on the dyno.
