I know there aren't any "set" measurements, but I sold the 200r4 from my car, and now am reading th400's have different mount positions, depending on tailshaft? I thought they were all one length to the mount. Can anyone clear this up for me? Going to set the 430/th400 combo in soon and don't want to have to do it twice!
    Thanks!

That's what I seem to remember, same mount location but tailshaft lengths vary, so depending which tailshaft is installed, that will dictate driveshaft length.

And th400 have a different spline count compared to the 200R4 so you nee a different driveshaft.

It it were me this is what I would do:

put the engine in place without the trans, get your engine mounts setup. Then put the trans in place and setup the crossmember to work with the th400. Lastly have the driveshaft made to fit.

I could be wrong but I think the 200-4r crossmember works for the th400 trans. You will most likely need a g body trans mount. If at all possible I would put the motor and trans in connected and get the trans mount loosely bolted in place. From here all you gotta do is get it centered the best you can. Using the trans as a guide is the best way. It's unfortunate you still don't have the 200-4r. You still may be able to get it done though. Yes it's more work but it will be done right.
