After a long break I have find myself enjoying my buick again. After having many GS"s over the years I just have one left and plan on having a fun summer of cruising.

Re: Figured out large photos finally

Very nice, how much is it lowered? Are those seventeens?

    Thanks
They're 18's and it is lowered unfortunately in the front way to much. Picking it back up with all new suspension and 1" drop coils. The back is worn out shocks and air ride which will be replaced after the front.

ok, i was thinking that might be little too low. Im debating if i should get 2 inch drop spindles. I found a set for 150. But that will bring the front wheel well hight to 22 and 3/4 dwn fom 24 3/4 . I originally cut 1/2 a coil and may just cut another 1/2 a coil.[IMG]

I think I'm at 2.5 drop as of right now and my headers drag on large dips and speed bumps

If you have the correct Backspacing at least 4.5 then 275/60x15 wil fit easy with a 8J rim. I have those on the car as streettires in the rear.
For racing I use 29/10x15 HOOSIER slicks and they are much bigger/wider/taller and those are on 10J rims with 5.5 Backspacing.

    Nice car by the way!

I got mine 2 days ago in trade for a kikker 5150 110cc custom bobber motorcycle that I had laying around. Guy said he ha to get rid of it asap. I was sceptical about it but went to look any way. Found the car mostly complete and the pics the guy sent me did not do it justice. The guy said the original owner rebuilt it complete 15-20 yrs ago and the guy passed away during before or after finishing it I have no clue what and neither did the guy I got it from. It just sat for yrs.

I went through and found good oil in the motor clean top of heads under valve cover and new valve springs. I took the air cleaner off after moving 2inches of rodent dirt and what not off the cleaner. Carb looks great needs cleaned but nothing got down it. I then pulled the plugs and all was in like new condition. Pulled cap and found all like new parts in the distributor. Rolled the motor over with some oil in the cylinders. Found it to be good. Hooked a batt up and rolled it over with the starter. Was very surprised that it turned over. Ran a quick comp check and on a mostly dead batt the cars lowest psi was 115 psi on a dead batt!!!!! Put fuel down the carb and it ran like a champ!!!!!

    Re: 70-72 Cars modified ELECTRA

468ci / 455 in my modified 72 electra, radical cam , 850 holley, custom dual exhaust, custom painted (53-54) style, 470dyno pull, pull on electra. This sounds like a funny car rolling in the shows. No I dont drag, you kidding? 5000 lb car?, but sure turns ears to look at a big car doing a Skylarks radical sound. all white insides with dark blue carpet

    Hello everyone!

New here - just bought a 1972 Buick Electra 225 Custom Limited from this geezer in Ontario, Canada. The car is completely original and has all the original documentations from 1971.
It's my first classic car - I am 25 and just breaking in to the classic car lifestyle (a little late to the game, sure). I've wanted a car just like this for about a decade.
It's too cold to do much work to it now, but it runs and drives great and just needs little cosmetic work. I drove it 45 miles to home and then another 15 miles fooling around with it - and that was in -24 C weather (-11 Farenheit).
The 455 V8 is a beast and starts up easy. I wish the temperature could get mild enough for me to wash it without it freezing up.

I hope to hear good things from this forum!

    Thank you guys.

Pictures of my dirty Electra that needs a wash. It has been kept outdoors for the past 2 Canadian winters, so that's not my fault for it being so salty and messy.plan on keeping it completely original and restoring it to be a fine cruiser. It's only letting me upload one picture for some reason. 02-13-16 Profile Copy 1.jpg

  19. Buizila

    Buizila GO BROWNS !!!!!!

Nice intake. Who made that for you? I ask because we are thinking about making an intake for buizila that has straight runners like the chevy intakes have. The t/a intakes have to much of a bend in them and it slows the air down and causes unhappy air flow our cars. Nice looking 350 intake piece.
