Smokey15 So old that I use AARP bolts.

My prayers go out to all those who were killed or wounded, and their families, by the cowardly terrorists.
Those bastards need to be hunted down and eradicated like the vermin they are.

Yes Jerry, prayers sent for the victims & their families.

I gotta say, anymore these days I also try to look past my anger and say a quick prayer for the perpetrators and those who might be inclined to do the same because they need them too, after all how can you be in such a state to believe that murdering innocent people and then committing suicide can ever be justified? They are in need of some serious prayer.

Not having direct family & friends affected does make it easier for me to say that though, I fear I'd be hell bent on revenge if they were.

Prayers to the victims. As far as the perpetrators and the ideology behind it, I'll bite my tongue

This should be a wake up call to everyone. My fear is that it will only be a matter of time before this happens right here. They'll hit soft targets- shopping malls. restaurants, theaters, etc. All gun free zones except for the enemy.

    Franklin Graham:

" Yesterday Paris was victim to the worst attack in France since WW-II. French President Francois Holland has called the Paris attacks an act of war that will be responded to mercilessly. In the hours after the horrific attacks some said TERRORISM HAS NO RELIGION. Do not be fooled. This attack was done in the name of Allah, the god of Islam. Eye witness reports say that the murderers yelled, Allahu Akbar before committing their atrocities. Now we know, in their own words, that the Islamic State has claimed the attack on Paris describing the city as the carrier of the banner of the Cross in Europe. In this case terrorism does have a religion its name is Islam and its god is Allah.
Islam is at war with usweve witnessed its evil face firsthand over and over. And today the world wakes up to their threats: This attack is the first of the storm and a warning. Reports say they have also posted: "The American blood is best - And we will take it soon."
The apostle Paul, who was miraculously called to Christ while in route to persecute Christians in the city of Damascas - located near the heart of embattled ISIS territory in modern day Syria - wrote in the Bible, "Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus" (1 Timothy 1-5).
As we continue to pray for the people of France we also need to pray for wisdom for the worlds leaders and that Islam will be stopped in its tracks."

Yes, I believe you are right Jason, it will be just a matter of time before it will be occurring here, and we would be easy targets because we have never been exposed to stuff like that (other then the Twin Towers Tragedy). I saw on Television last night though that France was, or still is, a time bomb waiting to go off. The French Journalist that they were interviewing said that while he was surprised how this went down, he was not surprised that it happened at all, because he said there is a lot of tension under the surface between the French government and their populace such as the Muslim people and other Groups that are a part of their society. He said it was a time bomb apparently waiting to go off, and for that reason it would be very easy for some Radical Terrorist Group like ISIS to sway those disillusioned/pissed off people to then commit "Jihad". And as we have seen, those people are some SICK INDIVIDUALS, who have no respect for Human life. Its a very sad sad situation, when you have those type of low life's running around in this world.

While I am far from what anyone would consider politically correct, that quote does trouble me a bit.

We need to be sure that we make a distinction between Islamic Fundamentalist/Extremists and those who simply follow the teachings of Islam.

Those who strictly adhere to Sharia Law, need to get their heads out of the 7th Century. Just as Christians cast off the Old Testament laws as instructed to by Christ, the Islamic world needs to do the same, I am not knowledgeable about the Koran, but I suspect there are no BC/AD teachings, as we have in Christianity.

But labeling all Muslims as Terrroists is just plan wrong.. and we should not do it, just like we don't paint all Protistants with the same brush as those who burnt witches at the stake, in the late 17th Century in Salem.

Sorry Jim, but I have to respectively disagree. Following the teachings and that point of hitting the right nerve to set off any of them. Secondly, while you are right about not every Muslim being an extremist, the number who are is staggering. Out of the 1.2 billion muslims in the world, 300 million are extremists or better put, terrorists. Which is almost 30%. Almost the whole population of the United states. Our entire military consists of roughly 1% of our population. 30% is one hell of a threat.

    Jim Weise EFI/DIS 482

I don't downplay the threat.. that is for sure.

But what about the 70% of muslims who are not terrorists? That's my point.

And in the age of technology, I have little fear of a takeover of this country, due to sheer numbers...

We have proven several times in recent history that the armies of the middle east are no match for the American Military.

    More to my point:

I strongly believe that those who would do us harm, regardless of why, need to be wiped off the map.

It was a huge mistake to pull out of Iraq/Afghanistan, a decision made for political reasons, not military ones. When we invaded the region, I suspected that we would have a strong military presence there for many decades to come.

Think Japan and Germany after WW2.

But we pulled out, and here we are..

I am more worried that, while many of us understand that just because a woman wears a veil, doesn't mean she has a suicide vest under her clothes, there are those among us in this country, that will terrorize Muslims for no good reason at all. Right here in the USA..

That makes us no better than them.

Living with multiple religions here every day... got many good people that shouldn't be painted with a big brush. The big brushes I'll keep to myself or at least offline.

Yes and unfortunately while 70% is good, 30% is a huge risk. Every time a terror attack happens, what is the response from people who knew them? He was just a quiet person, and could not imagine how he would ever have done what he or she did. We have a few million here, and while most are good, that 30% becomes a huge number. In no way am I stating that 30% who live in our country is the number, but you have to seriously be wary of how many of the few million here are terrorist minded, recruiting, planning. Take Oregon recently. Even if it is a couple percent, that is absolutely unacceptable. Period. Islam is the only religion currently doing what they are doing, and it should be banned at least in our country. The 70% should rise up in their own country, and fight much like our ancestors did here for us to be where we are...

    Ban a religion?

Wow.. the framers of the constitution just rolled over in their graves..

As did the millions of American servicemen and women who died in the last 239 years to insure what is a fundamental, and founding principal of this country.

    Freedom of Religion.

I really don't know what to say about that statement, beyond this..

That would be worse, not better, as it would supercharge the extremist element. Throuout the Islamic world, you would hear "Those infidel Americans banned our religion, they all must die, and you young people must all heed the call to be martyred.."

I do agree 100% with your last statement. The Muslim world has to right itself, we cannot do it for them. All we can do is occupy that region of the planet, and prevent them from having the resources and facilities and capability to harm us.

It sucks, but is the world we live in.

" But what about the 70% of Muslims who are not terrorists? That's my point. "

    But what about the 80% that weren't Nazi's ?
That 70 % you speak of haven't denounced their radical brethren so far (fear I would guess?) ?
None the less the potential for that 70% joining with the radicals is on the higher side? IMO

My issue is with the so called 'moderate Muslims" who don't speak out and denounce these things. They ought to be screaming from the rooftops. Instead all I hear is silence from the Muslim community. To me, their silence is equivalent to them condoning it.

    Gary,
I usually try to stay out of these types of threads, but part of what you said above bothered me. Allah, is simply the word Muslims use for the name of G-d. That is the god of Abraham, Sarah, Issac, and Ishmael, in other words, the god of Judaism, Christianity, and Islam, same god.

I like to think that all religion is pure. It is the screwed up interpretation of said religion by human beings who use that interpretation to justify and rationalize murder of innocent people. All religions have this problem, but Islam obviously has the biggest problem with it.

I see them speak out all the time in this country. I see it on the news a lot. What you don't see is them denouncing this overseas in the Muslim countries. That is probably because if they did, they would be thrown in Jail or murdered on the spot. Still, I agree with your point, The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing. What pisses me off more than anything is that our so called friends in the region, like Saudi Arabia, Jordan, even Turkey seem to be doing the bare minimum, if anything, to combat this scourge on humanity. They are the ones who should be fighting this battle, not us. Sure we can go over there and kick their ass. They will melt back into the population and scurry back to the sewer holes they came from. Then what? These people have demonstrated time and time again that they are incapable of forming a representative government and getting along with one another. Sunni, Shia, Kurds, they all want to kill each other. I say pull out every American and American dollar out of these countries, open up a bag of popcorn, and watch them kill each other.

A walk through the O.T. reveals Satans toss from God's presence? he wanted to be like God and have the worship God alone deserves,He is receiving that worship through the religion of Islam (allah) a.k.a. lucifer /angel of light?
Allah and Jehovah are NOT the same! God And Allah are NOT the same !
And religion is man made concept and is not what God created or wants his followers to embrace.
As for Muslims? their actions speak volumes of their beliefs ? the radicals as well as the "moderates" who just like some one said want to just live in peace?
But given the change of "winds" will fall in line with those "strongmen" of radicals in the chance they become stronger?
Islam is a false religion or faith! Ishmael was banished and is NOT the son of promise ! but Isaac is the son of promise and Ishmael's decendents deny Isaac's right. (Arabs & Jews )
But they certainly are barbaric in their history through out the ages? I see no chance of change in their Ideology ? Do you?

Isiah 14:11 All your pomp has been brought down to the grave, along with the noise of your harps; maggots are spread out beneath you and worms cover you. 12 How you have fallen from heaven, O morning star, son of the dawn! You have been cast down to the earth, you who once laid low the nations! 13 You said in your heart, "I will ascend to heaven; I will raise my throne above the stars of God; I will sit enthroned on the mount of assembly, on the utmost heights of the sacred mountain. 14 I will ascend above the tops of the clouds; I will make myself like the Most High." 15 But you are brought down to the grave, to the depths of the pit. 16 Those who see you stare at you, they ponder your fate: "Is this the man who shook the earth and made kingdoms tremble, 17 the man who made the world a desert, who overthrew its cities and would not let his captives go home?" 18 All the kings of the nations lie in state, each in his own tomb.
