    Hi guys;

    I was just curious if someone has a list of buick 350 intakes (ever) produced in decent quantities. Meaning, if someone was in the market for a 350 intake, what are their options new or used?

    Thanks.

    On a side note, that intake just looks cool! You can stare at it a long time and pick it apart, but there isnt much bad to say about it is there? Well done to all who had a hand in its production, i know thats not an easy feat to accomplish.

    Until now, there were only two aftermarket intakes to choose from: the Poston S-Divider (which had more wrong than right going for it) and the TA Performance dual plane. That's the end of the list for the 350 SBB until TA releases the new SP3.

    Back in the day Sonny should have traveled to Cecil County for the East Coast Buick Day for the extra bump he needed. That would have done the trick.

    I had the pleasure of watching Sonny race here in Ohio at Norwalk. I was there when he crashed. It was a very beautiful car, it had a street car look but that was where it ended. I wanted to see the car come back it was the only car that had a chance against the 455's. I am sure he raced longer than the 25 years that I had seen him. Should have went to those Penn-Ohio Buick performance meetings to pick his brain, just always working too much back then.

    I first met Sonny nearly40 years ago at the track.He had Tweety there and was running 15's in stock configuration. We hit it off right away and worked together on getting that 350 to make some serious hp. he tried like hell to get that 10 second slip but couldn't do it,we thought that fateful
    day in Norwalk he'd do it with some changes he made over the winter,he was on a good straight pass,I put him in the box on that run, when the bottom rad hose came loose in the lights and went to the wall. He was still determined to get the 10 second run and was in the process of replacing the stock frame with a tube chassis. Then age and desire left the unfinished project to sit. It is for sale by the way.
    Sonny still keeps track of whats going on and I think he misses it.
    I see Sonny a couple times a month, we play poker together,and hes doing fine.

    You're right Mike, in that mine shaft he would've hit it.
    He was a innovator with that 350, he used lightweight chevy rods and pistons,ported and epoxy contoured Buick heads, he had a great flowing single plane intake from a small block chevy, he made some mods and made a adapter plate to fit it to the 350. he was able to really spin that thing. He actually made the first girdle for a 350.
