I tried a year or so ago to get enough orders to do a custom flat top piston for the 350 and could not get enough.
I am going to try again and se if we can get this done.
I am thinking about getting them with 1.5-1.5-3 mm ring lands.
If there is enough interest I will get pricing.
You can email me privatley if you wish at ampmike@aol.com

Could these be used in a mild 350 setup to bring compression up and be reliable for everyday driving? If so what compression would these bring on say a .30 over mild ported head 350 with say a 284 ta cam?

If you have the deck height at .056 and a 56 cc head it would still be 10.8-1.
.000 deck and 50 cc would be 12.5-1.
I already have a forged piston for a street engine that is about 9.6-1.If you want to get more serious for more compression we can make the piston with a dome to fill the open chamber of the 350 but you will have to flycut the chamber to a spec

What's the price on the 9.6-1 pistons? Will they work with factory rods and wrist pins?

I would be interested in a set, if they can be used for a daily drive. 10-1 or lower on the compression tho. I would have to see the pricing also.

if they r for big comp or street stuff I know i could use 2 sets of pistons. std&30 over would be great. lets see what the price is??

What is it with this pricing crap. Do you want to get the pistons or not. I know I paid over $500.00 for Forged pistons from TA back in 1993. I did not make a lot of money then. I wanted a real motor. Get with the program people what is wrong with you. It is a Buick, get over it. If you want cheap go buy a Chevy or a Ford. No wonder no one wants to make anything for the Buick 350. Come to my area and I will bust you up at the track with my 350. Then maybe you will spend some money. :spank:

If you are ahead of me I will flip the button on:Brow:

In this economy can you really blame us?:Do No:

Jobs don't grow on trees anymore, and everybody wants to get the best deal now a days.

P.S Yes you will beat me at the track but, my father in laws 68 nova dominates all 572 BIG BLOCK MAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA:3gears:

my concern is that I might want more then 2 sets. after all, the more that order the more the price goes down. Been involved in the MT headers thats the GSCA did. My dads the one that sent the originals to be done. At first we said we would take 3 sets. the price dropped and we ended up getting 6 sets. so, ya price is a key factory and i think there just taking numbers know and not cash. so as soon as that happens then i guess the number of sets i get will be on what money i have at the time or the deposits needed. This is not a easy task to try and get done.

Then you tell me what a Turbo and a Procharger is, Power Adder! I don't see any other 350 running any faster. I don't see any times either. I can back up my talk with action at the track What do you got? Remember, I have a 350 with hardly any parts support, not some 572 Chebby with parts on tap.

What do you all mean bad economy, if you have a job you have economy. I run nitrous because of this piss ant support for the 350 Buick. So if you want the 350 Buick to go somewhere start buying the parts. If I had not bought that SFI flywheel from TA back in 1994 you may not have been able to get one today. I also had TA make me a deep sump oil pan with a longer pickup. So I support the 350.

Look this is goin tooooo far...
I don't care jack about what you have I'm in this for me. I'm buildin my 350 to run everyday not to screw up at the track. Not everyone is rich like you. So what if we ask what the price is... that's in our best interest. Point here is don't talk about other people askin what the price is on somethin and YOU AREN'T EVEN BUYIN. If you where buyin I could understand, but your just being a a hole for no apparent reason. Heck if you wanna dictate what someone else spends then Pay for it! Go start trouble on another thread. This was a thread about a great man and a great shop offering to get a run of pistons made for us great buick folks. Thanks mike for supporting us buick guys that want to buy products and get services from you. I'm in the process of rebuildin my 350 and if I'm gonna replace the pistons anyhow... why not get the right pistons to bump up comp.

ok - back on track , refocus .
mike : so to recap the ones you have now are the Diamond's that some of us picked up a couple years ago correct ? ( very nice kit by the way - complete too , i'll add a pic maybe ) . i'm still on the fence about going with more comp to match up with later cam choice . talked to you before i think . still thinkin , glad to see you popped this thread back up . so what you are saying basically is -
    >pistons you have are approx 9.6 comp with stock head and stock rod length
    >pistons you are planning are approx 10.8 with stock head and stock rod length
    >pistons you are planning are approx 12.5 comp with a "head shave" and stock rod length .
thats all i'm gonna say .
edit : pics added , and not saying mikes supplier is still diamond but am saying that this is the kind of quality kit you will get .

doug : picked them up from mike a few years ago , got 'em for my "B" motor since i had some extra $$ at the time to splurge with . but now thinkin about goin heavier with solid cam etc and maybe wantin' more comp + . from what mike stated previously it sounds like they would be in the 9.6 range - which is what i wanted to confirm with him .
