My grandfather in La isn't doing so well. He's 92, lives in an assisted living facility, and has been recently admitted to the hospital 3x in the past month - once for jaundice and twice for internal bleeding. He's a Katrina survivor; I'm not sure how he managed that, but it's kind of a long story. He was a pretty strong old guy and retired in 1986 from being a butcher, but still worked part time well into his 80s. Once he reached his 90s, his health really began to decline. He's very weak anymore and will soon be fed with a feeding tube, so I think it's just a matter of time. Added to that, my father-in-law in Ks was just diagnosed with prostate cancer, but it appears to be treatable and he's doing ok with it so far. The hard part is that I'm deployed overseas and cannot make it back home to see either of them until my tour is over in May. Neither of them are considered "direct" family members, so I cannot be released if the unthinkable happens. Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers.. Thanks, Darryl ray:
