Rich/Marty, You are correct the Sport mirrors were not part of the 71-72 GSX package but were seperate options. I did not pick up on this until I started digging through my paperwork after seeing Bob Cristo's 71 GSX. Duane PS. A bunch of the 72 cars came with chrome mirrors.
Hi Andrew, If you can find a copy of the Magazine "MuscleCars" Jan. 1995 it has some good pics of Bryan Brown's 72 Orange GSX with a black vinyl top. Also featured his 70 Yellow GSX as well as his 71 Lime Mist GSX also witha black vinyl top. PS : Duane I know you were just testing us about the mirrors:TU: Marty
That was SOP at the end of a shift. At the Framingham plant in 1972, sandwiches, soda cans, bolts, etc. were thrown into areas of the car that were closed off....that is whay a lot of cars had rattles.....:eek2:
I know this thread started years about but can I point out the there were no, none, zero GSX convertibles produced.
I have a '71 Stage 1 Cortez Gold GSX with a white vinyl top (since removed) Pearl white interior too.
