This engine was built by Jim Burek at PAE for me for a street car and was dyno'd only. Peak HP of 705 at 5600 rpm and max torque of 714 at 4900 rpm. At 6400, it still makes 686 to 692 HP. At 2600 rpm it made 522 torque in the low 3000 rpm range it is around 570 ft/lb of touque, at just under 4000, it goes over 600 ft/lbs and stays over 600 pretty much to about 6000 rpm. I will try to list most of the items:TA stg-3 Alum tall port heads (Ported - flow 368 cfm @ 0.65 and 269 @ 0.65), TA tall Port intake (Ported), stg-3 valves, stg-3 springs, everything coated (brgs, pistons, cyclinder walls), fully groved cam bearings, TA lifter girdle, chrome moly push rods, Al pulleys, Schebeeck lifters, TA 1.65 roller rockers, external oil pump conversion, Modex forged steel 4.5 inch stroker crank, block o-ringed, block hard filled to 2.5" below deck, Eagle 6.8 inch long BB Chevy H-beam rods with SPS rod bolts, Ross Dished stroker pistions (22cc dish), full floating wrist pins, block drilled for additional 4 studs for Al heads, Girdled oil pan, Opened up all oil passages, additional oil line connecting front and rear of block, SFI balancer, SFI flexplate, internallly balanced, all ARP studs, cam-Straightline 268/280H12. I have installed a Bulldog 573 CI Aluminum block into my car. Kept this one just in case but now I am sure the Bulldog engine is good. Glad to send it back to Jim at PAE to evaluate and certify condition (new, never installed, just dyno'd). Happy to have you call Jim also as he knows me well. invested near $20,000 into the engine. I also have a new upgraded 400 trans if interested. Would discuss selling short block.

Asking $15,000 or Make offer for short block, Jim

    Eric,
I think it was around 850 but would have to pull the dyno sheet. The engine was also built by Jim for the street with longevity in mind.

    Thanks for asking,

    Jim

I have installed a Bulldog 573 CI Aluminum block into my car.

Are you just one of the lucky ones who bought a Bulldog block years ago, or are these somehow making their way out?:puzzled:

I am lucky and unlucky. I was most likely the first second or third person that put up cash. I paid for a complete motor in the begining. I had the 535 CI built and then Jim asked if I was interested in the new block. The unlucky part it only took years and lots of worry with $20 K puls in the line. I knew Jim was honest but that Dick Bradshaw is one looser. I know have the car running and now that I am confident the engine will hold up I am looking to sell the 535.

I don't think things have been resolved and the promises keep coming, Jim

I hope I was able to posted a few pictures of the 573 Bulldog engine in my car (have trouble with posting pictures). If anyone is interested in the 535 that I listed, I will add the new Race Demon carb ($1000) that is also posted on the site. Jim

    Jim,

I think I saw your block when it was being built back in 2007 when I was at PAE. The rotating assembly was assembled, and it was all wrapped up in shrink wrap. I took a few pics if you want to see them. I will post or email them to you.

Your car and motor look wicked! :3gears:

Jim, I would love to have the pictures if you could send them to djhocking@msn.com. The air cleaner is a K&N with the extream top. You can get them almost anywhere (Summit is good).

I will post a few more pictures when I get the car finished, Jim

    Herb,

I have someone asking about the lower end so if that works, I will discuss selling the top end. That part I am not too workied about. I will not sell it unless I sell the lower end first. Too bad someone don't want the whole engine as is!

I can't believe you haven't sold this yet! The sum of the parts and labor has to be close to twice what you're asking. Maybe when people get their returns? Good luck on the sale. Sure wish I had the dough, that thing would be in my car. :TU:
