I am sure Mike T of TA performance would agree that they are not rare.....If they were so rare, Mike would not have designed a rear cover to fit the Canadian 12 bolt Buick rear. Unless he likes parts to sit on the shelves, but I dont think that is the case. o No:
I can see this thread swirling in the bowl already. Before the turds disappear, I would like to say something in all seriousness. All joking aside. I have no problem with Chris asking whatever he wants for his stuff. If he wants a million dollars for a rear axle, thats fine. If you look at Chris's posts and threads, you'll see that he only starts Parts wanted threads and only responds to for sale threads. He here to just buy parts. Thats fine too. As a V8 board member, I'd like to see him contribute more to the board that that. But if thats his deal, Im fine with it. Listen, we all buy and sell parts. None of us are looking to retire on our sales. We just want a fair market value for them. Take for example this thread- http://www.v8buick.com/showthread.php?t=168722 Bill was asking $350 for a 72 air cleaner with the hood seal plates. What I think is a fair price. Chris offered him $100. But then turns around and offers a 70 Stage 1 air cleaner for $2400. THATS what I have a problem with. And please, I dont care if Dave Kleiner himself restored it. To nickel and dime us on our parts that we have for sale then to put that price on your parts is insulting to us. Its like biting the hand that feeds you. Thats why your getting your balls broken. And dude, have a little thicker skin. What did you expect? You gotta take a little ribbing around here. I've gotten it as good as I've given it out. We're all here to have fun. You wouldnt last a week in the NE Chapter with the jokers we have. And you know what they say if you cant take a joke right? So thats what I have to say. If I get slapped or spoken to about my posts, so be it. I'll take my punishment. And I dont have anything against you Chris. I hold no ill will. If I saw you at the Nats, I'd be the first guy to hold out my hand and shake yours. So there!
I go to the Nats every year and you've never shook my hand. BTW, when was the last Nats you attended?
"Crack Heads". Who the hell you calling Crack Heads? We are all also impressed with your self proclaimed wealth there Chris. You must be the richest guy in the Buick hobby. Wow! If you do go to the Nats look up that old SOB they call MONEYBAGS. Ask him to crack open his wallet. You may be humbled. We really don't care to deal with someone who calls us "CRACK HEADS". So remember his name the next time he tries to peddle some overpriced parts on this or any other Buick Board.
Can we get back to the air that's for sale now? All these other useless posts are distracting and don't have anything to do with this thread. I want my air!
Sorry, now that I have documented the car in my garage as a bonified '69 GS400 Stage1 4-speed, I will be keeping my date-coded NOS air for the upcoming restoration.
why dont you just build a huge warehouse to keep it and all of your other rare stuff in? then later you can hold it for ransom
Nice going Wander! :af: Get everyone all riled up over rare NOS air then pull out. Just wait till I see you.
uzzled: ou:  HEY...WAIT A MINUTE......I had a good finders fee riding on this NOS air...... uzzled: o No: WTFo No: uzzled:
I am reminded of a certain ebayer a few years ago that was selling GS cars and parts, and boasted the same about all his money and huge collection of parts after being called on the carpet over pricing on this board. :idea2: I don't care either way. Just came to mind. Was that NOS air from a 15" tire, or 14"? :bla:
I thought the factory only filled 14" tires and shipped the 15" tires flat. Saved them countless dollars!
I forgot to ask if the 69 spare tire air was summer air or winter air? there is a difference. You can tell by the density of the air. You can also tell by smelling the air, if it smells like out dated lettuce its winter air. If so I'm not interested. If it smells like a box of broken crayons, than thats summer air. I'll give you fair market value which would be about $7,341, if no one takes it before Febuary 14th, after the fourteenth I'll have to start looking elsewhere.
uzzled: uzzled: Alan--- if you decide to split it up I would like to talk to you about purchasing some. I relaize this is a buying opportunity and I wish I had the Franklin brothers to buy it all but times are tough right now.
