Hold on, the 430 for that year is rated at 360 gross, so wouldn't I be looking more around the 270's?

    Adam,

Congrats on breaking your little car into the 13s. I see your car in the 12s before the 2008 Nationals.

BadRiv, that's impressive! Manifolds, 2 1/4" exhaust and 2.92's seem quite limiting. Is the AVS a squarebore carb? I forget... I used to know these things when I was a Mopar guy. Did you port the ex. manifolds yourself?

I'll go through the last pages to check for updates and will add them to the first post soon, just not right now, I'm too busy doing nothing.

My friend help port the manifolds, he's been building stock car motors since the 60's. All I know is this car pulls like a freight train, keeps pulling after 5800(don't take it higher tho).

That 360HP rating was pie-in-the-sky. They might have hit that number on one pull, who knows. Also, that was with NOTHING running off the crank - no accessories whatsoever.

Hi BadRiv. Please sign your posts so we can be on a friendly first-name basis.:beers2:

    Now...

Those are some impressive numbers! What does your Riv weigh?

My 13.16 is with better porting on the heads, ported B4B, headers, better ignition and higher stall converter. It weighs 4550 lbs with me in it.

I've got to have a look at the specs on that cam. Maybe it is time for a change. However, I dread pulling the cam and having a look at the front cam bearing. I've never had good luck there. I'm probably better off not knowing.

Poston doesn't list the specs of their cams at .050 on the web or in their catalog. What is the lift and duration of that cam?
