He asked me to email my home address to him. I really doubt I'll ever see what's owed to me.

I didn't even get to start another negative feedback thread for the junk parts he sold me. But I only bought the stuff "because he really needed financial help".

    Oh, well.

I feel for those who still have issues here wih Jeff. I had to go to great lengths to wait to get my money he owed me. It amazes me that he had no job and yet wants to build a car. WHen I met him he was at least mowing yards for money. It was time for him to be pulled to the carpet. If anyone else has issues with Jeff email him and get your deal covered.

I do not have any issues with him but I did give him some free stuff about a year ago and if I would have known this is how he treats people I would not have.

I don't have any dog in this fight, but I did get an email from Jeff today..

" to those I owe : yes, I have fallen way behind, and I am so very sorry that it has gone on so long. I am making firm plans to get things cleared up. it's not going to happen overnight, and will take time, but I assure the ones that I owe, that they will be taken care of.
again, My apologies to all." thank you, Jeff W.

    I got an apology pm myself. I didn't bother with a reply:eek:

So here is the running list:

    Mike - money
    Mark - emblems/money
    Scott - 140A chrome alternator/money
Jamie - Harness/money - only sent $5 of what was owed = Jamie does not care to mess with it further.
    Bruce - emblem/money
Schmelzers - wasted trip to Topeka from Nebraska with rear axle he didn't have money for - I think He was going to make that another pay it later thing too. They didn't fall for it.

Yes Jeff I am stirring the pot. I will stop when all of the above listed are satisfied with you(cash/part in hand), and post here saying they are they are.

Would everyone please post your results here, so we can end this. I really have better things to do, than type this crap.

well i got an envelope from Jeff today.it had $5 in it(if i remember shipping was $4.90) and a short note that said here is your money for shipping,as i understand the deal, you gave me the part for free with the option to pay or send the fan as payment for shipping.Jeff...what i said was i will send you the part, charging you my cost,to be paid when you had the money, including shipping, just to help you out.i wasnt making any money off you,but expected to at least break even!!i dont give out free parts related to my buisness.the spare/extra/unused hobby parts, yes i will "pay it forward"on ocassion. i have no desire to fund anyone elses projects at my expense,as i can barelly fund my own. you misunderstood my good intentions of "pay me later, ill give you a deal to help you get going".lets consider my dealings with Jeff closed.and the first time in 5-6 years of being on the board, that i got "bit in the ass" for trying to help someone. my loss is meager compared to the other guys on here, hope you make it right with them.:puzzled:

  16. Greg Schmelzer

Greg Schmelzer What are you looking at?!

Okay, here is what happened in my chapter of the saga.

I told Jeff during chat on Buickland one day, that I had an axle that would help him with his towing needs. He had an old POS Dodge 1/2T that was in no way made for towing. He was, indeed, made aware that the axle was out of a GM 1T and that some simple mods would need to be made. Nothing drastic, just small changes. The shock mounts would need to be moved and the spring pads would need to be removed from his old axle and welded the the GM axle. Not at all difficult and very functional when done. I have seen this mod done at least 15 times on lifted 4X4's running 44" and taller tires and never any issues, so I knew I was not leading him down an unsafe path.

During this conversation, he mentioned that he would be at Mike's to 'help' him work on the Regal and asked if I could bring it down. Now, I will say that Jeff never did say he would buy it, but when he tells me to bring it to him, I thought it was sold. What would anyone think? When I get down there, I had a bad feeling about the whole deal as I see his mother's Roadmaster parked across the street. I finally get him to the truck to check it out and get an answer something like, "Yep, that's a big axle." The exact quote escapes me, but you get the jist.

If anyone is aware of truck axles, this is about as good as they get. GM Corporate 14 bolt steeped with 4.56's and a Detroit locker. I even brought the original 4.10 R&P with me to swap out the gears if he didn't want the deep ones. I was going to make Jeff a smoking deal on the axle. All this, including transportation to Topeka, for a measly $100. I thought I was helping out somebody in need. The $100 would have covered my fuel round trip from Lincoln and that is it. Essentially giving away a $1500 axle.

I was only out $100 in fuel and a what would have been a wasted day had Mike, Rob and Dave F. not been there for the BS session after Jeff went home. Anytime I can get together with friends, I do not consider the day wasted. Other than that, it was.

Do you remember the rear bumper filler panels that I found for you, Jeff? I asked for the money up front before I even pulled them from the donor car. This is why.

I pray you look deep within your conscience and realize who and by how much you have wronged many people and make it right.

Don't be sorry, I asked you to give it to him instead. I fell for his "poor poor pitiful me" routine. I wanted it unless someone else NEEDED it, and he used those words from my post against me. Neither of us needed it for a proper application.

Just an observation and a few comments about V8Buick.com...

This board continues to service the Buick community in so many ways. This is a perfect example of how things worked correctly and a issue with another member was brought to light and dealt with in an open fourm. This will in turn protect many others out there from this persons actions.

My hat is off to those who vocalized their issues and to the moderators that allowed this thread to continue in an open manner. :TU:

I loved Mikes comments regarding class and honesty and He is so correct!

I love my Buicks for what they are, but for many of us we are also Buick guys because we enjoy being part of a mature group of folks that are proud to boast "Fast with Class!"
