Is this Burnished Saddle paint and Dark Gold vinyl top? 68 H on the cowl tag. That's my car's original combination and it's been hard to find another.

    Nice car!
When I was a kid my dad used to have a 70 Wildcat in exactly the same colours, it's one of the reasons I got into Buicks.

My dad has collected classic cars since... well before they were classic! He's into mainly fords, especially wagons. But when I was 15 (2001) and in search of my first car we came upon this big brown buick in the Atlanta, GA classifieds. At first I was not very enthusiastic... but my dad sold me on it.

The car was being sold by the original owners son. His father had passed and this tank was swallowing his garage. My dad looked it over and approved of the garage kept, numbers matching low mileage car. We returned weeks later to pick it up and this is one of my fondest memories that I cherish. My dad hit the interstate and punched it. The sound of that 4 barrel roaring as it went into passing gear! I was in love. My dad later admitted to doing burnouts at the hotel. Fast forward 17 years later and 2 engine rebuilds later and I still am just as fond of this car as I was when I was 15.

The years havent been kind to the buick but shes still in really great shape for a 50 year old car that was my daily driver as a teen. The engine is pretty much done, my dad even had the intake and valve covers powder coated. Now she just needs a little more body work, interior work and a paint job.

This car will be with me til the day I die. Then I havent decided to pass it down to my daughter or be buried in it!
